community
Our name, which comes from Listener’s powerful song, “Wooden Heart,” and its album of the same name, serves as our lighthouse; guiding us back to our core principle - creating community. Our values are intrinsically tied to community, and not unlike the song, we know that lifting each other up helps everyone. As the song says, “we only have what we remember,” and what we want to remember is the work our charitable partners do.
COMMUNITY IMPACT
In 2021, we were fortunate enough to have donated a combined total of $45,785 dollars to the organizations below. Click on each photo to learn more!
While we acknowledge that financial contributions or in-kind donations are not perfect solutions to supporting our community partners, we feel it is our responsibility as a business to redistribute our available wealth, time, and resources back to our neighbors.
Please read below for donation guidelines and our application process! Thank you for all that you do to hold this ship together.
But they hold this ship together tossed like leaves in this weather / And my dreams are sails that I point towards my true north
DONATION GUIDELINES
Our guidelines are meant to provide transparency on what we as a small business are able to do to maximize our charitable giving. If you have any questions, please contact the taproom.
At this time, WSBC prioritizes donations and partnerships with 501c3 non-profit organizations whose work is in the following areas:
Arts/Culture
Ecological Restoration
Educational Equity
Health and Human Rights
Social Justice
We are currently able to offer two types of charitable initiatives: in-kind donations for events and creative partnerships based on your org’s needs.
In-Kind Donations: Dependent on availability and capacity, we are able to offer curated gift bags for fundraisers, silent auctions, and similar events hosted by our charitable partners. If this is what you are looking for, please fill out the application form below.
Partnerships: We are intentionally keeping this initiative vague. WSBC does not presume to know what an organizations’ needs are and aim to be adaptable in supporting your work as holistically as we can.
If your organization has a cool idea for a partnership, including on-site events such as guest bartending, collaborations, or drives, please do not hesitate to fill out the application form below!
Any requests submitted one week prior to the event date will be denied. As much as we want to be nimble, we do have to factor in staff capacity and availability of in-kind materials.
If you are approved for an in-kind donation, you will receive an email asking you to schedule a time to pick up your items from our taproom. We currently do not deliver donations.
If you have any questions about our criteria, please contact the taproom and they will be happy to point you in the right direction!
Please click the link above to fill out an application for either an in-kind sponsorship or to discuss partnership possibilities.
If you are unable to fill out this form, please contact the taproom at and they will work with you to submit your request.
